Hours after joining Erica (Kaila Estrada), Alice (Janella Salvador), Lucas (JM de Guzman), and Marco (Race Matias) in their search for overlooked information about Louisa’s (Mutya Orquia) real murderer, Ryan (Yves Flores) arrives home to find Beth (Charlie Dizon) waiting for him.
Aside from asking Ryan about the missing dinnertime, Beth wonders why he took so long. Ryan then coldly responds about the difficulty of solving a 14-year-old case like Edong’s (Jake Cuenca). More indifferently, he also informs Beth that their old schoolmate, Kyle (Kobie Brown), has been identified as their new suspect.
Finding Ryan’s changed demeanor insufferable, Beth urges him to talk about their relationship. In a panic, she insists that her regrets about the life she is living were misunderstood by Ryan, clarifying that she said those things out of anger toward Alice and because of Edong’s destructive vengeance.
Unconvinced, Ryan points out that people’s true feelings often surface when they are infuriated, including Beth’s. Immediately realizing he spoke too harshly, Ryan gently apologizes and explains that his emotions were heightened by overhearing Beth and Alice’s conversation days before.
Ryan admits that he has been repeatedly questioning Beth’s love for him and whether she is still happy, now knowing that she often thought about the dreams she had to give up for their relationship and early parenthood to their daughter, Chloe (Jewel Milag). He ends his sentiments with an emotional hope that he will heal someday.
Noticing Beth’s silence, Ryan continues, stating that no matter what happens, he will still love her. Moments later, he pleads for more time alone, hoping his feelings will pass.
