Living much of his life estranged from his family, due to his enduring bad blood with Rigor (John Estrada)—the man whom he thought was his father growing up—Tanggol (Coco Martin) has found a family in his loyal barkada, “Tropang Tanggol,” with whom he confides his problems, aspirations, and convictions, as well as shares his victories.
Among the group, he’s the closest to Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo), as they have been each other’s best friends and most trusted confidant ever since they were kids. For years, Enteng served as Tanggol’s voice of reason—the steady light guiding him through chaos, whether in matters of love or life.
However, their once unbreakable friendship is put to the ultimate test when Enteng does the unthinkable: he betrays Tanggol and the rest of Tropang Tanggol, selling them out to Rigor in exchange for his mother’s life.

As we await what’s going to happen once Tanggol and their group learn about Enteng’s unexpected, grievous betrayal, let’s revisit via this Kapamilya Toplist feature the 10 of the most heartwarming moments that really defined Tanggol and Enteng’s friendship in the series.
Beyond his endless problems with his family, Enteng had also witnessed firsthand how Tanggol went crazy in love and had his heart broken for the woman whom he loved the most with all his heart—Mokang (Lovi Poe). From the time when Tanggol was still figuring out the most effective way to woo her and convince her to say “yes” to be his girlfriend to the time when he willingly sacrificed his life for the sake of getting her out of trouble several times, Enteng was there for Tanggol to advise him to stick with old school style of courtship and to shake him awake to reality that Mokang would never pick him to be her life partner.
Enteng would tell off Tanggol unabashedly whenever he lost his temper or got into an argument, such as that time he got into a fight with the owner and a customer of the bar where the Tropang Tanggol worked as waiters, while Mokang was among the entertainers. Enteng would always be quick to diffuse heated situations and prevent chaos from spiraling out of control.
When Tanggol was already losing hope in winning the heart of Mokang, Enteng urged him to fix his life first since she would definitely not choose to be with him because she knew that with their current situation, it wouldn’t end well for either of them.
And as Tanggol kept on thinking about her while their entire barkada was still in prison, Enteng advised his best friend to not think of her anymore nor dare attempt to stop her wedding since she seemed to be not thinking of him in spite of all his sacrifices for her. He suggested that he must look for another woman who’s more deserving of his unconditional love, like their inmate-turned-friend Bubbles (Ivana Alawi).
Even though he was about to be emancipated the following day, Tanggol couldn’t help but be sad, thinking that his friends would be left inside the prison. Thus, Enteng advised him not to worry about them and to not be so selfless that he would always put his own welfare and happiness behind.
In one of their most touching conversations, Enteng confessed that the group had always been hurt whenever Tanggol was beaten by Rigor, rejected by Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), or mistreated by David since they’d considered him a family. Enteng reassured Tanggol that they would be there for him no matter what and that he would always have a family in them.
Ironically, it was this same loyalty that led Enteng to make his heartbreaking decision. Faced with losing his mother, Aling Myrna (Myrna Castillo), to Rigor’s wrath and revenge, he chose betrayal over friendship.
Before everything unraveled, Enteng had grown unusually emotional, even asking Tanggol in advance for forgiveness should he ever commit a grave mistake. Tanggol, certain that such betrayal could never happen, promised he would forgive him.
How will Tanggol react once he finds out that the person whom he gets to share life with for almost his entire life and vows to stick through the ups and downs of life suddenly betrays him and their friends? Let’s see by watching the remaining gripping episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel sa ALLTV2, iWant, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
