Magnus (Raymond Bagatsing) takes aim and fires at Emil (Joel Torre) to stop him from shooting Greta (Lorna Tolentino) in the February 19 episode of “Roja.”
Emil’s fury intensifies when Dado (Bernard Palanca) informs him about what Liam (Donny Pangilinan) did to make them lose consciousness. This betrayal leads Emil to decide to get back at Liam by endangering the life of his mother, Greta. Meanwhile, Olsen (Kyle Echarri) discreetly hands a gun to Magnus to keep as they prepare to fight back against the armed men. At the same time, Liam and Lt. Areza (Ejay Falcon) gear up to infiltrate the hospital and rescue the hostages left behind.
Later on, Emil immediately approaches Greta and grabs her, leaving her confused. “Pagbabayarin ko ang anak mo sa kasalanan niya sa akin,” Emil says. Before he can continue, Liam’s voice comes through the comms, urging Emil to talk with him.
“Anong gusto mong mangyari?” Emil responds to Liam. The latter explains that he has already spoken with the authorities and assures Emil that he and his armed men will be able to escape the hospital premises safely, as long as they also keep their victims unharmed.
But Emil remains unfazed as he declares, “Bata, hanggang ngayon hindi mo pa rin ako kilala. Simple lang naman ang plataporma ko, pag may nagkamali o nagkasala, parurusahan. Eh nagkasala ka sa akin, kaya eto, paparusahan ko ang nanay mo.” He speaks while pointing a gun directly at Greta, who pleads for his mercy.
On the other line, Liam hears a gunshot, sending him into panic and fear for Greta. But the shot did not come from Emil, it was fired by Magnus, aimed at Emil to stop him from shooting Greta. Chaos erupts on the rooftop while Olsen, Magnus, and Fin (Igi Boy Flores) ready their weapons against the armed men.
“Hindi kayo makakatakas! Sasabog kayo!” Dado declares. But Macky (Kobie Brown) quickly shows him that the transmitter connected to the explosive devices strapped to their bodies has already been destroyed. With the threat neutralized, the other victims, Ice (Kai Montinola), Macky, Rita (Maika Rivera), Senator Maristella (Lloyd Samartino), Wendy (Janice de Belen), and Greta, rush to escape.
