Known for her hits “Just Give Me a Reason,” “So What,” and “Get the Party Started,” American singer-songwriter Pink has become one of the most influential artists of her generation. She is a fearless singer with powerful vocals, rebellious spirit, and theatrical performances.
Pink’s pop-rock energy lived on the “Your Face Sounds Familiar” stage, with 7 performances transforming into the fearless performer!
Sheena Belarmino (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Just Give Me a Reason” with Michael Pangilinan
Sheena delivered an emotional performance at the “YFSF” All-Star Reunion, singing the 2012 hit “Just Give Me a Reason” with Michael Pangilinan as Nate Ruess. Sheena’s vocals were rendered with a fragile tone, as if carrying the weight of heartbreak---just like how Pink herself sings it.
After their performance, Michael was full of praise for Sheena. “‘Yung talent mo, sobrang galing mo,” he said, adding that his favorite performance of hers was when she transformed into KZ Tandingan. He was in awe of sharing the stage with Sheena.
Speaking of duets, Sheena later had an impromptu mic challenge with Coach Jed Madela, who joined them onstage. They sang “Just Give Me a Reason” with a twist: since they are both Bisaya, they performed a Bisaya version of the song and delivered vocals that wowed the audience.
Sheena placed 4th at the end of the season.
Chunsa Jung (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Get the Party Started”
Transforming into a rockstar like Pink was totally different from her past cutesy performances, as Chunsa Jung impersonated the singer. Performing her 2001 club hit “Get the Party Started,” Chunsa definitely served looks with her all-black fit, complete with black lipstick and a rockstar hairstyle like Pink’s.
Judge Sharon Cuneta was shocked by her performance, adding that she never thought Chunsa could be as fierce as Pink. “Sa lahat ng 9-year-old na batang kilala ko, ikaw ang pinakamagaling,” she said. “Ang galing-galing mo na talaga,” was Judge Ogie Alcasid’s remark, adding that this was Chunsa’s best performance.
Meanwhile, Coach Nyoy Volante admitted that he was a big fan of Chunsa. “Sobrang talented mo. Alam ko nahirapan ka sa pag-project mo as Pink kasi hindi yun natural sa’yo, pero walang bahid [ng pagiging cute,]” he said, completely amazed by her performance.
Chunsa placed 7th at the end of the season.
Sam Shoaf (YFSF Kids Season 1, 2017) - “Get the Party Started”
Sam Shoaf brought the house down with his performance of “Get the Party Started.” He strutted across the stage with angst, just like Pink, as if commanding the crowd. He even interacted with the jury while singing, making him a true performer at heart.
Judge Ogie Alcasid was full of praise for Sam. “Magaling ka talaga,” he said. “Kahit anong gawin mo, babae o lalaki, pati yung steps at attitude ni Pink nahuhuli mo,” he added. For Judge Sharon Cuneta, Sam truly found the right moves as Pink. “It’s no surprise na kuhang-kuha mo si Pink,” she said, highlighting that he captured Pink’s coolness without making it too manly.
“Consistency” is the perfect word to describe Sam, according to Judge Gary Valenciano. “Your sense of timing is admirable. Your sense of concentration… you carried on, and this is how you have consistently been from the very start of the season,” he said.
Sam placed 6th at the end of the season.
KZ Tandingan (YFSF Season 2, 2015) - “Just Give Me a Reason”
KZ truly embodied Pink with her performance of “Just Give Me a Reason.” Her gestures, facial expressions, and emotional delivery made her transformation believable, complete with Pink’s edgy styling and stage movements. Even from the first note, she already sounded like Pink herself.
Judge Sharon Cuneta noted that it was a fierce performance from KZ. “You did a pretty good job with that. That was a great performance,” she said. Meanwhile, Coach Jed Madela described KZ’s performance in one word: “Intense. Ramdam na ramdam namin yung gigil, yung angas, you did way, way better today.” He also observed how KZ was comfortable with her performance, and everything felt natural for her.
Lastly, Judge Gary Valenciano praised KZ’s mastery of facial expressions, saying she did not act like Pink---she became Pink herself. He expressed his excitement to see KZ bring out even more of her talent onstage.
KZ placed 4th at the end of the season.
Matty Juniosa of iDolls (YFSF Season 3, 2021)- “Lady Marmalade” with Lucas Garcia and Enzo Almario
The vocal trio iDolls delivered an even more leveled-up performance of Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Pink’s version of “Lady Marmalade” from the soundtrack of the 2001 film “Moulin Rouge!” Matty transformed into Pink, nailing her vocals.
“Pagdating sa vocals, hindi kayo matatawaran, never kayong nagmimintis,” Judge Sharon Cuneta said. She added that whether it was solo parts or singing as a group, they were all perfect in their performance. “All in all, it was a good performance as usual.”
Judge Gary Valenciano highlighted one of the hardest things to do as a trio: blending perfectly every time they sing. “You all sounded like good vocalists coming together as a trio. You were just performers having fun tonight.” He was clearly entertained by their performance.
Echoing the same sentiment, Judge Ogie Alcasid noted how difficult it must be for them to perform, do choreography, and sing with harmonization. “This was your best performance,” he said.
iDolls placed 4th at the end of the season.
Francis Concepcion of TNT Boys (YFSF Kids Season 2, 2018) - “Lady Marmalade” with Mackie Empuerto and Keifer Sanchez
“YFSF Kids” did not miss the chance to showcase their own version of the “Lady Marmalade” trio, with the TNT Boys transforming into Christina Aguilera, Mya, and Francis Concepcion as Pink. As soon as they stepped out of the “iconator,” screams from the audience filled the studio. Francis embodied Pink with his powerful vocals and added sass.
Judge Gary Valenciano praised the trio for their exceptional talent. “Grabe ang talent ninyo at mga kaya n’yong gawin with your vocals… Bihira ‘yung mga ganitong klaseng grupo sa buong mundo. Kayong tatlo, sa ganitong edad, kayang gawin ang ginagawa ninyo,” he said.
Impressed by their performance, Judge Ogie Alcasid was amazed at how good the trio was, noting that they delivered an excellent number. Judge Sharon Cuneta also enjoyed their performance, saying she had nothing but praises for how good they were.
TNT Boys was hailed the grand winner of the season.
Rufa Mae Quinto (YFSF Season 4, 2026) - “So What”
Comedy bombshell Rufa Mae Quinto went into full rockstar mode as she performed the 2008 hit “So What,” showcasing her fearless stage presence and embodying the song’s rebellious spirit. The judges were hyped by her performance, even standing up as they jammed with her.
What made Rufa Mae’s performance excellent was that she did not turn it into a comedic act, according to Judge Sharon Cuneta. “Wala ‘yung Rufa Mae na nakasanayan namin kanina, Pink na Pink ka,” she said.
Coach Nyoy Volante had a good feeling about her performance even before she stepped onstage. He praised her for doing everything they advised during mentoring. Coach Klarisse de Guzman also loved Rufa Mae’s performance. “Ang ganda, ang astig. Palaban ka kanina at na-enjoy mo yung performance mo. Narinig ko yung kapal at gaspang ng boses ni Pink [galing sa’yo] kanina,” she said.
Judge Ogie Alcasid went into serious mode, telling Rufa Mae that it was now time for her to have her own concert---a sentiment Judge Sharon agreed with. “Mahal ka talaga ng tao. Walang mali kay Rufa Mae,” he said, noting that she delivered a strong performance.
From ballads to rock anthems, Pink is definitely a singer with a wide range who never disappoints, and these Pink takes from our ka-Familiars further proved her versatility.
