Beth (Charlie Dizon), Erica (Kaila Estrada), Alice (Janella Salvador), and Mel (Sue Ramirez) catch no breaks as they continue to face a series of devastating events: Anton's (Jameson Blake) abuse, which led to their hospitalization; Edong's (Jake Cuenca) frightening return; and their complicated discussions about stopping Edong's relentless mission for revenge.
Reaching a consensus proves difficult for the group, as Beth storms out of Alice's home after slapping Lucas (JM de Guzman), who angrily confronts her over her unyielding refusal to admit her past mistake of falsely accusing Edong of murdering Louisa (Mutya Orquia).
Before she can actually leave the premises, Alice runs after her with a plea to make things right this time. However, Beth only criticizes Alice for being swayed by Erica and Lucas' ideas.
Fed up with Beth's pride, Alice finally gets real and asks if Beth only wants her to speak when she agrees with Beth's convictions.
Left speechless by Alice's words, Beth returns home. Upon arriving, she overhears Chloe (Jewel Milag) and Joshua (Lawrence dela Cruz) berating MABEL's haters over their involvement in Anton's abusive controversy with Mel.
Comforted by her daughter's presence, Beth suddenly says that Chloe is the best thing that ever happened to her and that she would do anything to make her proud. In response, Chloe expresses that she has always been proud of Beth as her mother.
Moments later, as the night deepens, Beth steps outside to clear her mind of the events surrounding her past.
As she washes her hands, a habit she often turns to when feeling guilty, she recalls Lucas’ words about her lies involving Edong; Chloe’s reminder about accountability; Alice’s enlightened view of their shared fault toward Edong's tragic fate; Celestino’s (Bart Guingona) past threats to her scholarship; and her argument with a young Erica (Krystal Mejes) over Edong’s innocence.
