From being constantly belittled and insulted by him, which often resulted in their heated confrontations, Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) was praised by Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) for the first time after he witnessed him gun down his own brother, Tanggol (Coco Martin), just when he was about to shoot Miguelito and his two henchmen.
This was after Santino assumed that it was Tanggol who shot his girlfriend, Erika (Gillian Vicencio), while he was busy fighting the protesters who crowded them, which resulted in her and their unborn child’s deaths. Catching him going after Miguelito and blurting out that he would finish the Guerreros off had prompted Santino to conclude that his brother was the culprit, so he quickly chased him and unhesitatingly shot him twice.
The fond memories he had with his Kuya Tanggol, whom he used to admire and revere, flashed before his eyes as he approached his unconscious and wounded body lying on the ground. Miguelito then sniggered at what he just had witnessed and sarcastically yelled at Santino, “May pakinabang ka rin, kid!”
He proceeded to their location and went on to tell him how he was in utter disbelief that Santino could kill his brother, which makes him a true-blooded Guerrero. Miguelito urged him to eventually end the life of Tanggol, reminding him that it was his kuya who put Erika and their baby to death, as well as their patriarch, Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero).
Santino struggled to pull the trigger, and Miguelito, losing his patience, shouted at him—but it had no effect on him.
