After paying their last respects to Don Julio (Tommy Abuel) and Franco (John Medina), who were both killed during their intense and bloody encounter with the Quiapo Police led by Rigor (John Estrada), Tanggol (Coco Martin), Ramon (Christopher de Leon), and Tropang Tanggol went straight to the abode of Mang Kulas (Roberto Antonino), where Tindeng (Charo Santos), Marites (Cherry Pie Picache), Roda (Joel Lamangan), and Andoy (Kuya Bata) sought refuge.
They were greeted by Andoy, who informed them that Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) had managed to escape. Tanggol’s grandma, Tindeng (Charo Santos), tried to stop him by aiming the gun she was holding at him, but Lucio was quick enough to shoot him first. However, it was not only Tindeng who got hurt, as Lucio also shot Kulas while he was running away.
This, of course, got Tanggol absolutely worried, so he immediately looked for Tindeng to check on her. He apologized to her for being the reason why her life was put in danger. Tindeng dismissed it, telling him not to be troubled since it was only a graze, and she was actually more concerned about him. He told her that he was just fine, yet Don Julio and Franco both didn’t make it out alive.
Tanggol expressed his regret for putting their lives on the line, so he promised not to let someone dear to him lose their lives because of him by making sure to save them and repossess the city hall. They went on to give one another a tight and warm embrace.
As Tindeng asked what was going to happen to them next, Tanggol retorted that it would be best for them to part ways for now in order to further ensure their safety. He advised her to take shelter with Congressman Mojica (Rey Campanilla), as he believed that they would be safe there.
Sensing Tindeng’s hesitation and fear, Tanggol vowed to visit them every now and then to make sure they’re still alright. This might be difficult for them, but he explained to her that they have to do it for the sake of the greater good.
Since it appeared to her that her grandson had already made up his mind and she couldn’t do anything to change it, Tindeng simply reminded Tanggol to stay safe always.
