Following the tragic and unforeseen demise of Oweng (Renz “Baby Giant” Baña), Tanggol (Coco Martin) couldn’t help but cry as he recounted the misfortunes that the people around him, especially his loved ones, went through because of being with him.
He recalled the deaths of Madonna (Kim Domingo) and Raul (Raymond Ronquillo) during their encounter with his father, Ramon (Christopher de Leon), and his henchmen, as well as of Oweng during their skirmish with Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) and the Red Phoenix group. Besides, he also blamed himself for what had happened to Ramon.
Divina’s (Rosanna Roces) piercing words about him dragging everyone around him to danger as he continues to insist on doing what’s right echoed in Tanggol’s mind, which made him realize that she could be telling the truth. Thus, he thought of distancing himself from them and continuing the war all by himself with the guidance of the Black Nazarene.
