Apparently, the Mondragons were not already content with just being the project contractors of the Manila government, as Brando (Roi Vinzon) and Rockyboy (Baron Geisler) expressed their desire to run as senator and congressman, respectively, in the next elections.
As they asked for everyone’s support, Roberto (Albert Martinez) told Brando that it’s definitely going to be easy for him since among them, it’s him who has more connections in politics. But regardless, they have their support, as Roberto offered that they become allies once that time comes.
Brando then went on to suggest that Roberto should consider running for presidency next since he has been in politics for such a long time. Roberto was initially not keen on the idea because of various factors that they had to take into consideration, but Brando proposed that they will back his run for president.
Meanwhile, Jackie (Angel Aquino) enthusiastically seconded Brando’s suggestion since she is going to be the First Lady of the country once Roberto wins the presidency, and it will allow them to embezzle more money from the nation’s fund.
Since Roberto was still reluctant, Brando laid out the scheme he came up with in order to condition the people to vote for him in the next presidential election as early as now. They will use the party-list of Jackie to produce funds to lure people that they are helping them, without them knowing that they are already being bribed to give their votes to Roberto.
As one of the congressmen pointed out that it’s now costlier to buy people’s votes, Jackie reminded them that they are now in control of the city budget, so they have nothing to worry about. Apparently, Jackie and their allies were so good at plotting their grand scheme for the presidential elections and at convincing him that they would back him up, as they were able to make Roberto agree with their plans.
