Tanggol (Coco Martin) was absolutely overcome with sadness and grief due to the unforeseen and heartbreaking demise of their beloved friend, Oweng (Renz “Baby Giant” Baña), who was ruthlessly killed by Lucio (Ronnie Lazaro) after he betrayed them.
Crestfallen, he and his remaining friends brought Oweng’s lifeless body to the hideout of the Benitos, where they mourned for him. Fatima (Andrea Brillantes) asked them what happened, to which Enteng (Jojit Lorenzo) recounted that they failed to save Ramon (Christopher de Leon) since, aside from being outnumbered by the police, there was also another group that attacked them and took away Tanggol’s father.
When asked by Paeng (Michael de Mesa) what he was planning to do about Oweng, Tanggol went on to lament why misfortunes have kept hitting him one after another, which even led to the death of his friend. As he asked what he did to deserve the punishment of losing his loved one one by one, Fatima consoled him by saying that it was just a trial, so he better not lose hope—just like them.
Tanggol then asked for their forgiveness, as they got dragged into this massive and perilous mess because of him, and repeatedly apologized to Oweng as he held on to his lifeless body one last time.
