After all that push and pull, Episode 47 of "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" finally lets Patrick (Joshua Garcia) quit pretending he doesn't like Mia (Anne Curtis). And just like that, our kilig-deprived souls get a surprise 'ayuda'—Patrick and Mia's kiss that feels deeper and more intimate.
Patrick throws away the days he spent avoiding Mia as he rushes to the mansion, certain that the escaped patient Zelda (Ana Abad-Santos) has gone to visit Mia. His heart nearly stops as bloodstains on the floor greet him.
Relief only takes over upon seeing her safe. Almost on instinct, he pulls her close like he’s afraid to ever let go. Mia reports that Zelda left after she refused to react to her provocations. Aside from the cut on her palm which she got after taking back the penknife Zelda had swiped from her desk, exactly the same kind of wound Patrick once sustained when he grabbed Mia's knife barehanded, Mia sustains no other injuries. What she does carry, however, is her ‘tampo’ (sulky feelings).
Mia sulks, stung by how Patrick has been ignoring her on her birthday, of all days, even after all her little moves to get noticed. She’s hurt that he’ll always put others first, which keeps her wondering if what they shared ever really meant as much to him as it does to her, because truth be told, Patrick still takes up all the space in her mind.
Patrick reminds her to calm down by counting to three. One... two... three... But it’s his control that shatters as he kisses Mia, deep and overflowing with feelings he’s been holding back. For the first time, Patrick admits he missed her. And that kiss becomes the best birthday gift she’s ever had.
If you think the kilig ended with the kiss, nope, the 'lambing' is just getting started. Mia notices Patrick burning with fever, which he's been enduring at the hospital the whole day, so she readies medicine and a soothing bath for him. But Patrick tugs her down beside him on the bed and murmurs that her embrace is the only cure he needs. Where has this side of Patrick been hiding all this time? It turns out, Nurse Patrick’s remedy of choice is a full dose of cheesy moves.
While Patrick and Mia are sharing a sweet embrace, Matmat (Carlo Aquino) recoils from the very idea of sharing. Jason (Francis Magundayao) keeps him company, jestingly sulking over Matmat not wanting to share his food or call him a “sibling" despite his years of helping the Gonzales brothers move from place to place. Jason points out the lesson he taught him about sharing, but ‘Manong’ says he doesn’t want to share anymore because it could mean being robbed of the things he values most, hinting at his fear of Mia stealing his brother Patrick from him.
Honestly, we're anxious about the rift that may tear the Gonzales brothers apart (again!) once Matmat discovers Patrick and Mia’s blossoming relationship. At the same time, suspicions only grow more intense about Olivia (Maricel Laxa) and Eden (Agot Isidro)’s real identities.
Because of Zelda’s escape, Olivia is forced to postpone her errand and return to the hospital instead. She visits Samuel (Michael De Mesa) and tells him she planned to light a candle for “her,” but after being called away by an emergency, she'd only make do with singing “her” a happy birthday, sending Samuel into hysteria.
Meanwhile, Eden stops at a bakeshop to buy “her child” a birthday cake, then comes home to her son Gio (Raven Rigor)—whose birthday coincides with Mia's.
And then, the one who visited Mia and introduced herself as her mother, Zelda, leaves the mansion gates humming her favorite lullaby before being seized by Dipong, who claims he has long been waiting for her return. Zelda reels in fear as Dipong mistakes her for Ingrid. She insists she is nothing more than Mia’s fan, a stalker at most, which explains why she knows so much about her past and life. She adds that she only came to the mansion to search for Ingrid’s unpublished final book. But Dipong doesn’t want to buy her story.
Will Zelda manage to escape? And are we finally close to uncovering the face of the present Ingrid?
