Since Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) couldn’t hear her while he was taking a bath, Erika (Gillian Vicencio) decided to go out on her own to buy sanitary pads. Since she urgently needed it, she didn’t mind telling him and just went on to get cash from the pocket of his shorts and put on a cap.
She tried to buy at the sari-sari store across from the Dimaguiba residence, but Geline (Geline Garcia), the store owner, told her that they already ran out of stocks. Thus, she advised her to just head to the basketball court where other stores can be found, which Erika heeded.
Worried that someone might recognize her, Santino scolded Erika as soon as she returned and dragged her back to their house. A heated argument ensued between them, with Santino reproving her for going out on her own and without telling him since it would be dangerous for her.
Erika may be confident in telling Santino that nobody was able to recognize her nor was she seen by someone who knows her, but little did she know that one of their family’s aides, Sandy (Sandy Aloba), caught sight of her while making rounds in Sandimas as she and the other supporters of Team Guerrero gave away bribes to the voters in the area a day before the elections.
Annoyed by his continuous yapping and his strictness towards her, Erika reminded him that she was there to seek refuge from her family and not to become his prisoner. She also urged him to tell her right there and then if he would treat her that way for the rest of her stay there, as well as refuted his claim that he’s her only ally because she couldn’t feel it. She then walked out absolutely pissed off, bringing with her the essentials that she just bought.
