“Sabay tayong aahon, sabay tayong sasaya.” This line echoes a call to rising together, healing together, and choosing joy as one, a message that resonates deeply this Christmas, and this reminder of how strong we become when we hold on to one another is carried through the words and melody of the 2025 ABS-CBN Christmas ID, “Love, Joy, Hope: Sabay Tayo Ngayong Pasko.”
In the spirit of sharing stories that uplift and inspire, ABS-CBN once again gathered Kapamilya artists, with everyday Filipinos for a special recording session that has brought to life this year's official jingle.
Following the release of the full music video last November, here's a behind-the-scenes video from the recording session where we get a 'pasilip' of the joyful, collaborative energy inside the studio as stars and ordinary Kapamilyas (whose heartwarming real-life tales inspired the lyrics) came together to give voice to the song.
The “Love, Joy, Hope: Sabay Tayo Ngayong Pasko” holiday track was written by Robert Labayen, with additional lyrics by Jay Dustin Santiago, and draws inspiration from the stories of Kapamilyas from all walks of life—the Ambassadors of Love, Joy, and Hope—namely, "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 7 winner Ricardo Cadavero a.k.a. Cardong Trumpo, a 'padre de pamilya' who chooses his love for family in every decision and sacrifice; teacher Melanie Figueroa, who is called "Teacher Santa" by her students for granting their wishes; Perlita Guerrero, a respected tribal chieftain of the Dumagat community; Fr. Errol Fidel Mananquil, who shelters and nurtures orphans; Martin Riggs, founder of the Busking Community PH who uses the power of music to help people; and Richmond Seladores, who embodies heroism during calamities by providing aid and assistance to survivors. Not only did their stories become the backbone of the lyrics, they also joined Kapamilya stars during the recording session.
Produced by Raizo Chabeldin and Biv De Vera, arranged by Chabeldin with additional arrangement by Francis “Kiko” Salazar, and vocally supervised by Jonathan Manalo, the composition also incorporates elements from Jessie Lasaten’s “Sabay Tayo."
The anthem opens with the timeless voices of “ASAP” pillars Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and Regine Velasquez. The next wave of Kapamilya hitmakers share their talent by going on board for this year's hymn as well, with Darren Espanto, James Reid, Maki, Maymay Entrata, and Nation’s Girl Group BINI adding youthful harmonies that mirror the hope and spirit of the new generation.
Midway through the track comes the much-anticipated section featuring the luscious and heavenly vocals of Sarah Geronimo, beautifully complemented by Juan Karlos, Sharon Cuneta, Angeline Quinto, and "Idol Kids Philippines" grand winner Alexa Mendoza.
And as the song moves into its final stretch, Kapamilya superstars Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, and Kathryn Bernardo drop a playful rap verse, energized even more by the vibrant P-Pop pulse brought in by BINI and BGYO.
Behind the scenes, it was all good vibes as the artists settled into the studio, with those who’ve been performing together for years sliding into their usual rhythm and the newer artists taking the opportunity to introduce themselves to the more senior stars. The booth felt like a little bubble where everyone was just enjoying the recording session and working with each other.
If you want to feel the full holiday vibe, this behind-the-scenes video is the perfect watch. Hit play and enjoy the smiles, the harmonies, and all the candid moments!
