In the December 26 episode of “Roja,” Olsen (Kyle Echarri) tries to help the hostages escape from the ticking bomb planted by Uno’s (Joel Torre) men. As time runs out, panic spreads among the captives. With Ice’s (Kai Montinola) help, Olsen races against the clock to save them before the bomb reaches its final countdown.
Convinced that Maddie (Zia Grace) tampered with the bomb, Boss Topak (Benedict Cua) and Macky (Kobie Brown) get into a brawl. In the scuffle, Boss Topak accidentally triggers the timer, leaving only 30 minutes before the bomb explodes.
Olsen and Ice watch everything unfold from above the vent as they try to think of strategies to save the hostages. Later on, Olsen manages to call everyone’s attention---Bogs (Emilio Daez) hears him first, followed by the others. Ice updates the group about what is happening outside, while Olsen assures them that he and Ice will help them escape.
Olsen asks for everyone’s help while Ice remains inside the vent. Later, Engineer Mike (Cris Villanueva) suggests that they can all escape through the same vent where Olsen came out earlier. The group then urges everyone to gather the items that can aid their escape and move toward the vent.
With only minutes left, tension rises and panic spreads as everyone rushes toward the vent to escape. Maddie, unwilling to be separated from her parents, breaks down in tears, while they reassure her that they will follow later. Olsen, Engineer Mike, and Architect Minnie (Nikki Valdez)---along with a few hostages---remain inside the hall when the bomb explodes. From the vent, Ice calls out for Olsen, risking their safety as the other guests manage to escape.
The bomb eventually explodes, and as Uno and his team try to assess how it affected the hostages, he orders them to search for the escapees. Fortunately, Olsen, Mike, and Minnie manage to survive the blast.
