In their pursuit of proving their allegations with regard to the corrupt practices of the Guerreros, Tindeng (Charo Santos) and her allies agreed that they should move and look for pieces of evidence that could help them expose the powerful and wicked family.
This was after they found out that aside from acquiring expired canned goods that caused the fatal food poisoning among some of the recipients of the relief goods, the Guerreros also procured faulty ambulances that either malfunctioned or resulted in a grave accident.
Thus, Tindeng decided to sneak into the records section of the city hall to search for documents regarding the purchase of ambulances. Little did she know that the Guerrero patriarch, Don Gustavo (Dante Rivero)—who has been so obsessed with her—actually saw her enter the room, so she was confronted by him upon catching her in the act of rummaging through the files.
The old man tried to force himself on Tindeng and compel her to come with him but failed, as Alfredo (Juan Rodrigo) suddenly arrived at the scene in time to rescue her. He instantly threw a punch at Don Gustavo and knocked him down, but the latter had managed to get up and strike him with his wooden cane a number of times.
Don Gustavo chased Tindeng on her way out of the room, but Alfredo was able to stop him and pinned him down on the floor. The ruckus caught the attention of the Guerreros and their bodyguards, so they quickly acted to stop them. To avenge what was done to his father, Miguelito (Jake Cuenca) gave Alfredo a strong punch in the gut, with Roberto (Albert Martinez) pacifying them.
Jackie (Angel Aquino), meanwhile, saw the pieces of paper in Tindeng’s hand and figured out that it was the documents of the ambulance purchase as she snatched them from her. As Tindeng threatened to expose them, Jackie crumpled the documents so that she and her team won’t have any proof to attest to their claims.
The tension further escalated when Tindeng told Don Gustavo how willing she was to sacrifice herself for Alfredo, whom she truly loved, as well as how she never had any ounce of love for him despite whatever they had in the past. This apparently broke the heart of Don Gustavo, both literally and figuratively, more so when she declared that she would rather die over and over again than be with him.
As Don Gustavo struggled to breathe, Alfredo wished him to be dead for him to be able to make up for his trespasses, which indeed provoked Miguelito. He ordered their henchmen to bring Alfredo to the rooftop, where he further beat him up and hastily threw him off to the ground floor, which caused his instant death.
Tindeng immediately went up to where his lifeless and bloodied body was lying and scooped him up into her arms as she cried and professed her undying love for him ever since their younger years.
