For the first time ever, Coco Martin and Julia Montes gave us a full-on romantic number at the recent ABS-CBN Christmas Special—and yes, it was laced with PDA a.k.a. Public Display of Affection! These two have always kept their relationship private, offering only small glimpses even after confirming their status in 2023, which makes public moments like this feel all the more rare—and all the more special—for every CocoJul fan.
CocoJul just gave us their softest, realest moment yet!
The power couple walked onstage holding hands, and already, the kilig was off the charts. Coco swapped his rugged “FPJ's Batang Quiapo” persona for a clean, classic look in a navy suit and dark sunglasses, while Julia was every bit the Christmas princess in a soft blush pink gown with a corset-style black lace bodice and off-shoulder detail. Behind them, a giant LED screen lit up with animated versions of themselves.
Coco took the lead as he serenaded his sweetheart with “Kasama Kang Tumanda,” basically the Tagalog rendition of "Grow Old With You," while Julia was just 'vibing' to the 'harana' of her real-life leading man.
Then Julia took over the second half of the song, as the screen behind them flashed a montage of photos of them, mostly from their travels together. She couldn’t even hide the twinkle in her eye, as if the lyrics were a mirror of the future they’ve always wanted. It's giving forever.
As they reached the final chorus, the two shared a single microphone, with Coco holding it between them. He surprised everyone—including Julia—by leaning in and giving her a kiss on the lips. Her eyes widened as she laughed in disbelief and hugged her beau, while the whole studio exploded in 'kilig' screams.
