All eyes were on Jarlo Base in the November 8 episode of "Your Face Sounds Familiar," where he transformed into Asian Drama King Jericho Rosales. It was a performance everyone had been waiting for, since people were already saying Jarlo look like Jericho's double even without stepping into the 'iconator.'
Right off mentoring, Klarisse De Guzman could already hear the 'Jericho' sound in Jarlo's voice. Coach Nyoy Volante, on the other hand, worked on the charm, making sure Jarlo nailed that effortless leading man appeal.
And the moment Jarlo appeared on stage, the crowd lost it. The studio was all smiles and ‘kilig’ as he embodied that effortless, chill-guy vibe that Jericho is known for. He obviously listened to Klarisse and Nyoy who, by the way, were also part of the jury that week.
Judge Ogie Alcasid called it Jarlo’s breakthrough performance, saying it was completely on point, while Sharon Cuneta revealed that he was among the celebrity performers she wanted to give a perfect score to for the week.
To top it all off, the whole studio burst into laughter when Rufa Mae Quinto decided to play Janine Gutierrez, Jericho’s real-life girlfriend, in a short skit that turned into a hilarious ‘asaran’ session on stage, thanks to hosts Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario's punchlines.
