Alexa Ilacad once again proved that she’s 'that girl 'on her third transformation in “Your Face Sounds Familiar,” slaying as none other than BLACKPINK’s very own Jennie Kim.
During her mentoring with vocal coach Klarisse de Guzman, Alexa admitted she was shaking a little inside because Jennie's 'maangas' or fierce way of dancing was so out of her comfort zone, add to that, most parts of “Like Jennie” had rap and Korean lyrics. "Of course, she speaks Korean and I do not. 'Yun ang in-overthink ko agad," shared Alexa.
As for movement, Coach Nyoy Volante’s number one pointer was for her to embody that “It girl" attitude. To help, he had Alexa do an exercise where she had to dance freely without music, just confidence. Alexa realized it was harder than it looked for a shy girl like her, but she hoped Jennie’s energy would take over once she stepped onstage.
And take over it did! Alexa’s transformation was total slay mode, earning praise from the entire jury. Sharon Cuneta, Ogie Alcasid, and guest judges Klarisse and Nyoy all agreed that she delivered an excellent number. The Megastar herself, Sharon, gushed about how amazing it was that Alexa did everything—from singing to rapping and dancing—so flawlessly, especially with the song's high level of difficulty.
Of course, the fun didn’t stop there! The jury and Alexa’s co-celebrity performers couldn’t resist joining in and trying out the signature “Like Jennie” moves themselves. Talk about a K-pop moment on the YFSF stage!
