She explains that postpartum depression led her to leave and that she was unfit to be a mother back then. Now, she claims to be ready and capable. Her desire for custody stems from concerns over Samuel’s alleged involvement in a scam and King’s kidnapping.
However, these suspicions remain unproven, especially as her husband Jacob Rivera (JC De Vera) and brother-in-law Roldan Rivera (Joko Diaz) are allegedly part of the syndicate--based on Johnny Policarpio’s (RK Bagatsing) statement about the shooting incident involving Enzo.
Based on the testimonies, the judge denies Leah’s request for King’s custody. Unbeknownst to them, Diego (Tirso Cruz III) had convinced Judge Santos to reject Leah’s petition. When Leah confronts the judge, she suspects Samuel of coercion--but it was Diego who intervened.
