Contrary to the demure nature of her previous icon, Rufa Mae Quinto went on to unleash her maangas side via her transformation into Korean-American rapper Jessi during her performance of the viral hit “ZOOM” in the second day of the Week 5 of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.”
“Excited akong gayahin si Jessy kasi marami kaming similarities [na] dalawa,” the Comedy Bombshell conveyed as she was about to go through her mentoring sessions under coaches Klarisse de Guzman and Nyoy Volante.
Klarisse warned Rufa Mae on how it is going to be a challenge for her since the song would have several parts, while Nyoy told her that her act would be “choreo-heavy,” or have a lot of movements and dancing involved. He further reminded her to act cool since this performance was very hiphop and Jessi projects a bad girl image.
