He may have broken his heart after being relieved of his command as the officer-in-charge of the Quiapo Police Station, but it seemed that Ponggay (Maris Racal) was able to instantly mend it by agreeing to go on a date with him.
Assuming that they’re already an item, he brought boxes of chocolates for her, as he thought that it would make her feel happy, especially now that Ponggay has been stressed out about the case of her stepsister, Dimples (Criza Taa). But Ponggay asserted that she hasn’t given her sweet “yes” to him yet, which he accepted, and then implied his desire to court her.
Thus, as a first step, he invited her to go on a date with him that night, which Ponggay was initially hesitant to accept since, aside from being busy with her and Chona’s (Via Antonio) investigation with regard to the case of Dimples, she seemed to dislike his arrogance, too. But as he insisted on helping them accomplish their “new assignment”, Ponggay was left with no choice but to finally agree to go on a date with him just to stop him from meddling with them.
And it worked, as she was indeed able to stop him dead in his tracks out of sheer surprise and make him leave their office immediately. As Ponggay reiterated her unwillingness to go on a date with Hector, Chona—as the ever-supportive bestie that she has always been—told her that she will take charge of the investigation for the meantime and even lent her the clothes that she may use on her date with Hector.
