With just a day before reuniting with their Filipino MIDZYs, South Korean girl group ITZY is set to bring a night of music, fun, and excitement with their third world tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on July 11.
Before the lights go down and the fanchants begin, here are six songs to add to the playlist ahead of ITZY's Manila concert:
TUNNEL VISION
One of the most anticipated performances of the night is the live rendition of "TUNNEL VISION," the title track of ITZY's 2025 album. The song marks a more mature and powerful era for the group. In an interview with Wonderland Magazine, Lia said the track reflects ITZY's evolved sound, while Chaeryeong explained that it is about staying focused on a single goal despite distractions.
Motto
Another new song fans can look forward to hearing live is "Motto," the title track of ITZY's latest album, which was released during the group's ongoing world tour. Focused on an energetic melody and sounds, the song conveys a message of believing in people who support you while staying confident in your own decisions. Speaking with The Korea Herald, the members said they hoped listeners would find their courage in the song.
Gold
Released as the lead single from ITZY's 2024 mini-album of the same name, "GOLD" marked the group's return as a complete five-member lineup following Lia's health-related hiatus. The song incorporates elements of rock instrumentation along with hip-hop rhythms, featuring a powerful bassline. The track’s message of overcoming self-doubt and recognizing one's own worth makes it a powerful anthem for fans, making it one of the exciting moments to look forward to during the Manila concert.
Girls Will Be Girls
As the title track of ITZY's 10th EP, "Girls Will Be Girls" celebrates friendship, resilience, and the strength found in standing together. The song reflects the bond the members have built over the past years, making it one of the performances many fans are eager to experience live.
THAT’S A NO NO
Although it was released six years ago, "THAT'S A NO NO" has recently found new popularity after videos of ITZY performing the song went viral online, bringing its impressive choreography to the attention of newer fans and casual listeners. Known for its synchronized dance breaks and fierce energy, the track expresses rejection of outside judgment and encourages listeners to live life on their own terms. With its resurgence, many fans are hoping to see the song make the Manila setlist and turn the concert venue into one massive dance floor.
Not Shy
There isn’t an ITZY playlist that wouldn’t be missing “Not Shy,” which is one of the group’s popular hits. This song reflects ITZY’s theme of being brave enough to say what you want and get it, thanks to its energetic, catchy chorus.
