Still reeling from the success of her solo concert last September 2025 at the Big Dome, Klarisse de Guzman said she immediately jumped at the chance to be part of the impressive lineup of the upcoming Champions of the Heart concert which also includes Martin Nievera, Sofronio Vasquez, Jed Madela, and Jona Viray. Although Klarisse already has experience performing with her fellow kapamilya artists, she shared during the concert presscon held last January 15 why this is a special opportunity she could not afford to pass up on.
“When I was asked about it, talagang yes agad ako kasi sa mga nangyayari sa akin, medyo nakalimutan ko na singer ako (laughs). Singer po ulit tayo. Kidding aside, nung nakita ko yung lineup, talagang gusto ko. Feeling ko magiging epic yung show na ito, yung concert na ito dahil bukod sa sobrang ni-lu-look up ko sila sir Martin, our father, and alam kong magiging magaan itong show na ito kasi kaibigan ko silang lahat. So sobrang excited ako actually na simulan na namin lalo yung rehearsals kasi I know na si direk John (Prats) pa ang aming director. I’m so sure na magiging magandang concert ito,” she shared during the Champions of the Heart presscon held at the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Pasay City.

The 34-year-old actress and singer also admitted that having John Prats again as her concert director is always a good sign for her, having worked with him during her The Big Night concert. “Always excited naman ako to share the stage with these amazing artists. And of course si direk John Prats especially kasi siya nag-direct nung concert ko. Third time ko na maka-work si direk. Sobrang excited din ako. This time excited din ako yung makita niya yung ibang songs na ipi-perform namin. Na-fo-foresee ko na magkakantahan lahat, makaka-relate lahat sa songs. There’s going to be a lot of collaborations talaga. Ma-fi-feel natin yung love on that night,” she added.

During the presscon, when asked what she considered as her favorite moment after joining The Voice of the Philippines in 2013, Klarisse said she cherishes the moments not seen on camera the most that led to her journey as a singing champion. “Yung favorite moment ko siguro yung the whole process bago dumating sa point na ito. Yung mga experiences ko, yung mga contests na sinalihan ko bago ako naging champion, yung mga friends na nakilala ko na ngayon nakakasama ko sa stage, yung mga rejections na naranasan ko before na naging motivation ko para mag-stay dito. So para sa akin yun yung favorite ko, the whole experience,” she recalled.
