International K-pop sensation Rosé revealed a big secret she had been keeping for a year – having the ‘biggest fight’ with Grammy-award winning singer Bruno Mars.
Rosé revealed that she and Bruno Mars had their ‘biggest fight’ shortly before filming the APT music video, to the surprise of netizens.
On October 12, Rosé sat down for a candid and playful session on Ask Away with Rosé with Vogue. Filmed on location at The Ned NoMad in New York, Rosé shared charming details about her everyday life, sense of humor, creative inspiration, and even behind‑the‑scenes drama.
The interview revolved around cheeky questions, from her favorite curse word to her dog’s oddly adorable scent. Before ending, Vogue asked what question they should have asked her.
“Well, you haven't asked me about APT,” she teased.
“Can you tell us a story about you and Bruno that no one else knows?” Vogue asked.
Rosé seemed hesitant at first, grinning at the question. But one year after the release of the award-winning musical collaboration, she revealed that she had the ‘biggest fight’ with Bruno Mars.
“Me and Bruno? Oh, my gosh. I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I had the biggest fight with Bruno right before the music video shoot,” she recalled while laughing.
“But we made up on set, so it was all right,” she clarified.
Seemingly regretful of on what she had shared, she exclaimed “My God, he's gonna kill me. Let's not fight, let's be friends.”
The BLACKPINK member did not go into full detail about the past feud between them, but she assured that they were able to resolve the issue.
Yesterday, October 18, marked the 1st anniversary of the Korean drinking game-inspired hit song “APT” by Bruno and Rosé.
The track debuted at #1 on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 and went on to dominate the Billboard Global 200, where it held the top spot for nearly 10 weeks. On streaming platforms, it became the fastest K-pop collaboration to hit 1 billion streams on Spotify in just around 100 days. As of writing, the music video on YouTube now has more than 2 billion views.
