MANILA -- Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador shared a favorite scene from her latest movie, "Open Endings," at the indie film's gala premiere in Mandaluyong City, Monday.

While she described the scene as not particularly difficult for her, she noted that it was something she had never done before in her acting career.

“There’s one scene na first time kong gawin sa buong career ko. Hindi naman siya difficult pero kinabahan ako dun sa scene na ‘yun,” Salvador said.

"Open Endings," one of the entries in Cinemalaya 2025 Film Festival, is directed by Nigel Santos and written by Keavy Vicente.

Joining her in the film are Klea Pineda, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and Leanne Mamonong, who also shared their favorite scenes from the movie.

Pineda hinted that the film allowed her to reveal a different side of herself, sharing that she had a blast shooting every scene.

Smith, on the other hand, singled out her most challenging scene with Mamonong — one she’s especially proud to have pulled off.

“I’m not gonna spoil, I’m not gonna say what it is, pero ang lalim lang talaga ng pinuntahan ng puso at isip namin pareho for that scene na ‘hooohh!’ na-pull off namin sya, and I’m very proud of it,” said Curtis-Smith.

For Mamonong, a heated confrontation stood out as her favorite scene — and also the most challenging, since it required raw emotion and heartfelt honesty.

"Open Endings" is about four queer women, who are exes turned best friends. It is showing in cinemas, along with other Cinemalaya entries, until October 12.
