On day three of the Primavera Sound 2026 in Barcelona, Filipina-American pop star Olivia Rodrigo made a surprise appearance at the Occident Stage of the music festival to perform a few of her hit songs from "driver’s license" to "vampire."
Olivia also performed her newest singles "drop dead" and "the cure," which are featured in her new album "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love."
She also previewed the album’s 10th track, "what’s wrong with me" through a surprise performance with Robert Smith of The Cure.
This reveal marks Olivia's first official collaboration with another artist, marking a milestone in her career as a musician.
In an Instagram post from the official Oliva Rodrigo fan account, the pop star revealed through a handwritten note how excited she was to release this feature.
She wrote: “Robert has been soundtracking my life for as long as I can remember. He has written some of my favorite songs of all time. His music moves me & inspires me to a degree that is hard to put into words. I’ve also been lucky enough to spend time with him over the last year & experience first hand his generosity & graciousness.”
In a recent interview with BBC 6 Radio Music, Robert Smith praised the Filipina-American pop star. “She’s so good. I mean, she is genuinely fantastic as a songwriter and as a singer, as a performer. And the band, everything about it. I genuinely love what she does. I’m slightly in awe of how easy she finds it all.”
