Ariana Grande will be taking a break from the spotlight after the Eternal Sunshine Tour on September 1.
According to a report by PEOPLE, the decision came following the continuous "public scrutiny" that the singer has faced.
"Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour. She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny," a representative of Ariana told the magazine.
"This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much," the representative added.
Ariana kicked off the Eternal Sunshine Tour in Oakland, California on June 6 (US time).
The "Yes, And?" hitmaker will also not be pushing through with the Sunday in the Park with George musical.
Ariana has faced persistent comments about her appearance in recent years.
In a December 2024 interview on Oui Oui Baguette, she opened up about dealing with societal beauty standards and public criticism.
“I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and a specimen in a petri dish really since I was 16 or 17. I have heard it all. I’ve heard every version of it, of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons," she said. "From even just the simplest thing, your appearance and you're young, and you're hearing all those things."

Ariana emphasized that this type of criticism is not limited to celebrities, describing it as uncomfortable regardless of the scale on which a person experiences it.
She also encouraged people facing similar criticism to set boundaries and prioritize their well-being.
“However you can all protect yourself from that noise, whether it’s at a family reunion or online, if you have to block people, I don’t care. If you delete the app entirely. You keep yourself safe because no one has the right to say sh*t," she remarked.
