BGYO member Akira shared a quick glimpse of how they handle their loyal fans who have been vocal on social media. The members of the boy group were asked several questions in an interview with King of Talk Boy Abunda Boy Abunda on Fast Talk earlier this week.
“Napaka protective ng P-Pop fans–– nag aaway-away, they’re very vocal about their feelings. Paano niyo hinahandle ito?” Boy asked.

Akira admitted that they talked about what they saw on social media, but instead of responding right away, he said they would look at the positive side first. When things get worse, they try to explain their side using their personal accounts.
“Kami more on kapag may nababasa kami na away sa Twitter or sa X, parang napag-uusapan din namin na parang ‘bakit ano ang nangyayari?’ Chine-check din namin yung pinanggagalingan pero more on tumitingin na lang kami doon sa–– naging optimistic na lang kami na huhupa rin ’yan,” Akira said.
“If medyo lumalala, meron naman kaming kanya-kanyang platforms na pwede namin gamitin to tell them the truth or kung ano man yung mga pinapakalat na fake news–– usong-uso kasi yung fake news ngayon–– to tell them na hindi totoo yung mga nababalitaan niyo,” he added.
All members then agreed that they had to be cautious about how they would react to the issues.
In the same interview, BGYO was also asked about the legal case they filed several years ago against netizens who made malicious accusations against them. Gelo, the group’s leader, disclosed that they can’t share any details as their case is still ongoing.
“Di siya pwedeng pag usapan–– it’s a long process na we’re handling it carefully,” he expressed.

In 2024, BGYO fought back against some netizens by filing defamation cases against them for spreading misinformation about the group.
“Kami po sa BGYO ay naging target ng mga taong sadyang gumawa at nagpakalat ng malicious accusations and rumors para siraan kami. Nuong una po, kami ay nanahimik lang, hoping it will blow over. Hinayaan lang namin ito dahil alam namin, ng aming Management, at ng aming pamilya ang katotohanan,” they previously shared in a statement.
”Patuloy na lumakas ang loob ng mga haters sa pag-iimbento ng mga kwento laban sa amin na nagdulot ng sobrang emotional and mental distress at naapekuthan ang aming reputasyon at career,” they added.
