Anjo Yllana shared his thoughts after losing his legal battle to Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, which was filed by TVJ Productions, Inc. against him. The Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court Branch 279 ordered the former host of the noontime variety program to pay ₱3.5 million in damages.
In a recent interview with Ogie Diaz, Anjo admitted that he felt the decision to make him pay 3.5 million was “very harsh.”
Usually, pag pumapatay ka babayaran mo yung pamilya,” he expressed.
He asserted that he would appeal his case at higher courts. He claimed that he didn’t do anything wrong and was just answering the “trolls” in the comment section of his TikTok live in the past.
Wala naman Eat Bulaga doon,” he recalled.
He then shared that he will be using his Constitutional rights as a Filipino to exhaust all legal remedies possible, as he continuously shared how he thinks the decision was too heavy.
Sabi ko nga, being a public official before, being a vice mayor and a councilor, parang kawawa naman yung mga susunod sa akin na mag sasalita,” he maintained.
He then bared that his financial status is “not normal” as he hasn't had work for a year already.
“If you’re gonna ask me kumusta yung financial status ko, of course it is not normal. I’m trying to live day by day with what I have, with what I’ve earned. Kung ano man meron, tipid tipid,” he bared.
Anjo hoped Tito, Vic, and Joey would also let go of their anger towards him.
TVJ Productions, Inc. welcomed the Court's decision as "a definitive vindication of the integrity" of the noontime variety program.
