It wasn't only the Taiwanese members of F4 who drew attention at the Philippine Arena on Saturday, June 27. The viral "F4 ng Pinas" also made their presence felt during the highly anticipated F Forever 1st World Tour concert.
The Facebook page Tungaw TV shared snapshots of the members of "F4 ng Pinas," known for their hilarious impersonations of the iconic Meteor Garden quartet, visiting the concert venue.
In the photos, the group could be seen posing for the camera in different areas outside the Philippine Arena.
Several videos circulating online also showed concertgoers eagerly lining up to take photos with the group.
"Thank you po sa suporta💖," the group wrote on Facebook.
Fans online were quick to react to the post.
"Napasaya mo ang mother ko," one fan commented after meeting the group.
"Blockbuster pila ng mga nagpapa-picture sa inyo eh! Nice one po! And keep it up!" another fan wrote.
Tungaw TV has gained popularity for recreating and parodying scenes from Meteor Garden, with the "F4 ng Pinas" members impersonating Dao Ming Si, Hua Ze Lei, Xi Men, and Mei Zuo.
The page, which now has more than 733,000 followers on Facebook, is led by content creator James Ryan Perez, who impersonates Dao Ming Si.
In a recent interview on DZMM Teleradyo, James recalled how his portrayal of Dao Ming Si began during the pandemic.
"Idol ko talaga si Dao Ming Si dati, elementary pa lang talaga ako, talagang iniidolo ko na siya," he shared.
He went on: "Tapos nung pandemic po, 'yung mga tao po kasi halos hindi makalabas ng bahay eh, walang libangan. Parang siguro kaka-social media ko, kaka i-scroll ko ng Facebook, nakita ko si Dao Ming Si. Tapos sabi ko, bakit hindi ko kaya gayahin si Dao Ming Si. Tapos kumuha ako ng picture niya tapos picture ko, pinagdikit ko lang. Tapos nag-trending po siya, umabot siya ng 10 million views. Dun po ako nagsimula."
