Robi Domingo became part of the online buzz surrounding F4’s long-awaited Philippine return after fans began noticing what many described as his striking resemblance to Taiwanese actor Vic Chou.
On June 27, F4 members Vic Chou, Jerry Yan, and Van Ness Wu, together with Ashin of Mayday, thrilled thousands of fans during the Philippine stop of F Forever 1st World Tour held at the Philippine Arena.

As fans celebrated the return of the stars who became household names in the Philippines through the hit 2000s drama Meteor Garden, another topic quickly started circulating online about Robi’s resemblance to Vic, who famously portrayed the fan-favorite character Hua Ze Lei.
The comparison gained even more attention after fellow Pinoy Big Brother host Melai Cantiveros attended the concert and playfully tagged Robi on Instagram.
In one of her stories, Melai pointed the camera toward Vic while jokingly calling out Robi.
“Wachalei. Ikaw ba yan @iamrobidomingo,” she captioned. She could also be heard teasing in the video, “Hua Ze Lei or Robi? Robi D? Ikaw ‘to Robi D!”
Robi later reposted the clip and simply responded with laughing emojis.
Melai continued the playful comparison in another video where she once again zoomed in on Vic while jokingly saying: “Huwag mo akong char-charin Robi, ikaw ‘to!”
This time, Robi fully embraced the joke and gave himself his own playful spin on Vic’s iconic Meteor Garden character.
Sharing the clip on his Instagram Story, he wrote: “❌: Hua Ze Lei? ✅: Huatchme Naenae”
However, the comparison did not stop there. Another netizen later posted about Robi and Vic’s resemblance, prompting the host to reshare the post once again.
Following the concert, fans quickly took to X and Facebook to post side-by-side photos of Robi and Vic, with many agreeing that the resemblance was surprisingly uncanny.
Some even joked that the Philippines apparently has its own version of the Meteor Garden star.
“my seatmate at the concert pointed out na hawig ni Vic si Robi Domingo and yessss i agree!!!!,” one fan wrote on X.
Another posted on Facebook, “Totoo nga! Kamukha ni Robi Domingo si Hua Ze Lei! 🤗🤣.”
During the concert, F4 and Ashin performed beloved classics including “Can’t Lose You,” “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” “Di Yi Shi Jian,” and “Meteor Rain,” bringing a wave of nostalgia to longtime Filipino fans.
Ahead of the highly anticipated show, Jerry, Vic, Van Ness, and Ashin also extended support to families affected by the recent earthquake in southern Mindanao, donating a combined amount of P5 million divided between ABS-CBN Foundation and GMA Kapuso Foundation for ongoing relief and recovery efforts.
