SexBomb dancer Jopay Paguia was noticeably absent from the rAWnd 6 of their Get, Get, Aw! concert held on April 30 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, leaving fans both surprised and concerned.

In an official statement released on May 2, Kate Anjela Management and Services addressed fans' concerns and explained the reason for Jopay’s absence, beginning with an apology.

“First, please accept our sincerest apologies for the delay in providing this clarification. We understand many of you were looking forward to seeing her on stage, and we regret any disappointment her absence caused,” the statement began.

The management then revealed that Jopay was unable to rehearse and train for the finale show due to an undisclosed medical condition affecting her knees, which required her to rest and get treated.

“JOPAY was unable to join the finale due to a medical condition affecting her knees. Following her physician's strict advice, she was required to complete her treatment and prioritize rest, which unfortunately prevented her from participating in the necessary rehearsals and training sessions for the show. This was a difficult decision to make, but her long-term health and recovery remain our top priority.”

Despite missing the major milestone concert finale round, the management reassured fans that Jopay is set to return for the upcoming international performances and world tour of the SexBomb Girls starting this May in the United States. They also extended their congratulations to the girl group behind the successful finale.

The statement concluded with a message of gratitude to supporters who continue to stand by Jopay and the group.

“We thank you for your unwavering love and understanding. Your support means the world to Jopay and the rest of the group as they prepare to take this show to the international stage.”

It can be recalled that Jopay previously underwent a knee aspiration procedure in January to remove fluid buildup, just a week after she was hospitalized due to a concussion.

Meanwhile, Jopay appeared at the 5th Musical Extravaganza in Botolan, Zambales on May 2 alongside fellow members Sunshine, Aira, Mia, Weng, Monic, Mae, and Mhyca. While some were glad to see her back on stage, others raised concerns about her condition and recovery.

As the SexBomb Girls are also set to headline the second day of the Aurora Music Festival on May 3, it remains uncertain whether Jopay will be able to join the performance. Still, fans continue to hope for her full recovery above all else.
