After more than a decade, White Party Manila, one of the country’s most meaningful and iconic pride celebrations, makes its comeback. The event this year will be a collaboration project between LoveYourSelf and Mentorque Productions, with a portion of the proceeds to be allotted to HIV Awareness programs, testing, and care.
The one-night only event, which will be held at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City, includes a guest list of the most beloved local LGBTQ+ icons and allies, led by one of the country’s most prominent personalities, Vice Ganda. Joining him in White Party Manila are other celebrities like Ice Seguerra, Janella Salvador, Chie Filomeno, Marina Summers, Mimiyuuuh, Kaladkaren, Liza Dino, Joey Mead-King, Angie King, Andoy Ranay, Alex Diaz, Klea Pineda, Sweet Lapus, as well as LoveYourSelf ambassadors and volunteers such as Joy Barcoma and Hannah Arnold.
“I’m so excited for the party. White Party was really the party 10 years ago. It was the most unkabogable celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community at that time. Celebrating with everyone in white, seeing that sea of beautiful individuals, solid and united for a specific goal, is such a powerful experience. Converging together, meeting new friends, seeing everyone I haven’t seen in the longest time—‘yun talaga yung inaabangan ko,” Vice shared in a video during the White Party grand media launch held last May 9 in Mandaluyong City.
During the event, Mentorque Productions head Bryan Dy shared why Vice Ganda is the perfect ambassador for the comeback of White Party Manila this year. “I have to refresh everyone’s memory. Si meme Vice dati ay talagang supporter na namin. It’s not the first time for her to be an ambassador to our events. The last that she did was Black Party Manila. So matagal na kaming magkakilala ni Vice and she is so excited about this edition, coming back after 12 years. Vice Ganda is the perfect person to represent everything White Party Manila stands for: authenticity, courage, and joy. Having Vice as the face of this year’s comeback feels more meaningful, especially as we reignite the spirit of Pride through celebration, community, and purpose while delivering a Pride night to remember.”
Also part of the lineup of top OPM performers set to take the stage include Ben&Ben, Maki, Marina Summers, and Gloc-9. Streetwear designer Bang Pineda will also add fashion to the night as he unveils his White Party Manila Collection.
