It was a special reunion for Kapamilya star Melai Cantiveros as she visited her wedding godmother, the Philippines’ Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
On her social media, Melai shared photos from their get-together, joined by her husband Jason Francisco, former Kris TV head writer and co-host Darla Sauler, and the show’s former executive producer Jasmin Pallera.
“Babalik na sa Tv ni Ms Kris ❤️😁 char char lang,” Melai quipped. “Binisita lang namin si Ms Kris kasi Ninang namin cya sa kasal kasi kung di namin cya ninang sa kasal , bibistahin pa din namin cya , hehehe. dba ang gulo ng caption ko kasi nakakpagod nmn kasi mag isip ng caption , pero hindi ako sa Linda Walker ha , na kinakausap ang sarili ha , Hooaay sorry ang gulo na ng caption ko.”
Melai expressed gratitude for being able to see Kris in person and in better spirits. She also reunited with Kris’s sons, Josh and Bimby, during the visit.
“thank u Ms Kris Ninang sa pa dinner mu sa amin with @jasminip @darla and Papang , and Thank you Lord bumabalik na ang gana mu sa kain ms Kris , nice seeing and bonding with Bimby and kuya Josh ❤️❤️❤️,” she added.
The Kapamilya host went on to offer prayers for Kris’s full recovery and shared her hope of seeing her back on television.
“full healing ms Kris amg prayer namin sayo , and sana makabalik kana sa Tv , salamat din sa inyo Mam Jas and Madam darla sa religious nyu na ambag sa pagbisita natin🤪😁.”
Kris TV aired on ABS-CBN from June 2011 until April 2016. Melai grew close to Kris after co-hosting the morning talk show. Although she eventually left the program due to her pregnancy with her first child and plans to settle down with Jason, she maintained a close relationship with Kris, whom she later asked to be one of her wedding godmothers. Bimby was also part of their wedding entourage.
Fans and netizens expressed their joy over the reunion in the comments section.

Another commented: “Hala.. Teary eyed ako.. Ang saya makita na umu okay na si ms kris.. Sana tuloy tuloy na paggaling mo.”
Some fans also recalled a humorous moment from Melai and Jason’s guesting on Gandang Gabi Vice, where Melai shared that Kris once asked her to stay longer on Kris TV, unaware that the couple was already preparing to start a family.
“Naalala ko yung ayaw ka niya mabuntis pero buntis ka na pala 😂,” a netizen said.
Another one also remembered how Kris was the “second honor” to know about Melai’s pregnancy: “Kris: Melai ha 28 ka magbubuntis sasamahan mo pa ako sa Kris TV ☺️😁 Melai: Ms. Kris you are the second honor because my mother is the first honor. ☺️🥰🙌.”

Meanwhile, Jasmin Pallera also took to social media to reflect on their reunion: “Ang saya lang namin as we revisited the beautiful, hilariously unforgettable Kris TV moments we shared. Ang dami naming tawa! 😂 Ending February with gratitude and a nostalgic heart," she wrote.
