Actor and dancer .Mark Herras recently prompted concern across social media after uploading a deeply emotional video that showed him in moments of distress, drawing an outpouring of support from fans and friends in the entertainment industry.

On February 5, the actor shared the video compilation on Instagram with the caption “Kulong sa Sistema 👽”. It was accompanied by Shanti Dope’s song “Kamusta,” a track that reflects on personal struggles and the importance of checking in on one another. The clips showed Mark in various moments where he was smoking, visibly shaking as he cried and wiped his face with a towel, changing clothes inside a room, and later walking alone in the dark while smoking and wearing a hooded jacket.

While Mark did not explain what he was going through, the rawness of the video quickly caught attention online, with many interpreting it as a glimpse into personal battles he may be facing. The post prompted messages of concern and encouragement from both fans and fellow celebrities.

In the comments section, actress Camille Prats shared a Bible verse and expressed that she is praying for the actor. “Praying for you Mark. In your darkest moments, His power is made perfect in our weakness. Jeremiah 29:11 says, ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.🙏’,” she wrote.

Fellow dancer and SexBomb Girls leader Rochelle Pangilinan also sent her support despite her busy schedule with their 3-day concert this month, writing, “Lab ka namin Herras ❤️.”

Actress Carla Abellana reassured Mark that he is not alone, commenting, “Kapit lang. Hindi ka nag-iisa.”

Kapuso actor Rocco Naccino echoed the same sentiment, encouraging him to take things one step at a time. “One day at a time brother. Ikaw una produkto ng starstruck, wag kalimutan, dream, believe, survive. Tawag ka lang sa'kin kung kailangan mo ng kausap,” he wrote.

Fellow StarStruck alum Sheena Halili also expressed her support for the actor, saying, “Mark, marami kami nagmamahal sayo. ❤️🙏🏻💪🏼”

Fans and other celebrities, including Kris Bernal, Rodjun Cruz, Ryza Cenon, Jason Abalos, Mark Bautista, and Diana Zubiri, among others, also filled the comments with messages of concern and encouragement.

In recent years, Mark has been open about facing challenges both personally and professionally. In 2021, his former talent manager Lolit Solis revealed that she had ended their professional relationship, citing financial issues and an unpaid amount of ₱ 30,000, which Mark previously said he used for his child’s expenses, as one of the reasons for them parting ways.

By late January 2025, Mark once again made headlines after a video of him dancing at the Apollo Male Entertainment Bar circulated online. Addressing the issue in an interview with Boy Abunda, the actor explained that it was simply a work engagement and that his wife, Nicole Donesa, was aware of it.

“Kapag raket, ibig sabihin sa akin trabaho. It's work for me. Kinukuha ko kahit anong trabaho pa 'yan basta alam ko naman na maayos, legal, at wala naman akong tinatapakan na tao,” he said.

He further clarified, “Nung sinabi sa akin 'yung venue, ang sabi ko ano bang venue 'yan? It's a gay bar. Ipe-perform ko ang normal kong sayaw, guest ako. Wala naman akong nakitang mali.”

In April 2025, his longtime friend, businessman-singer Jojo Mendrez, filed a complaint at the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office against Mark and claimed that the actor-dancer allegedly threatened him that he would burn his house down.

Mark has also faced negative comments online as netizens made "laos" remarks after his contract with Sparkle was not renewed, giving him fewer showbiz projects.

Following these, Mark ventured into business as a first time entrepreneur by opening a meat shop. In an interview with Karen Davila last October, he reflected on his career with gratitude and acceptance.

“Sa showbiz kasi parang sinasabi nila, ‘Laos na ’yan, nalalaos ka na’… Ako kasi I am very thankful and contented ako dun sa narating ko,” he shared, adding that he does not regret the path his career has taken.

As of this writing, Mark has yet to explain the meaning behind his recent emotional video.
