Celebrity couple Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa recently shared an exciting update on the construction of their dream home, Casa Corky, which is now nearing completion.

In a video on their YouTube channel, the couple documented an intimate house blessing ceremony. Nicole explained why they chose to keep the event private:

“Hi guys! Katatapos lang i-bless ng bahay. We didn't vlog during the actual blessing na kasi we wanted to focus and make it as solo, private and personal as possible,” Nicole shared.

With the blessing done, the couple is just waiting for the occupancy permit before moving in.

“We are days and weeks from moving into the house since na-bless na. Ang last step na lang is we are waiting for the occupancy permit. Everything is going very very well. Yung cabinet patapos na. Yung kitchen is done,” she added.

Nicole also shared glimpses of their completed kitchen and walk-in closet. She revealed plans to decorate their home with crochet artworks made by Mark’s late father.

Despite being actively involved in the house’s final touches, Nicole admitted that it will take time before she fully feels at home.

“I don’t feel like this is our house yet. Parang it's gonna take me siguro two months to feel this is home. Parang ang laki ng house. I feel like we are renting airbnb,” she explained.

Earlier in February, the family hosted their first celebration at Casa Corky, marking their eldest son Corky’s birthday. The house, named after him, also became the venue for the gender reveal of their second child.

“The reason why we are having a little simple celebration on his mismong birthday is because we are going to make his real celebration with guest sa bahay and that’s going to be happening on February 8,” Nicole said.

“The reason why it had to be on February 8 was because we are doing the last finishing touches of the house. It’s basically the first official party at the house. I-test drive una namin ang lahat,” she continued.

“Of course, si Corky ang may-ari ng bahay kaya kailangan doon siya magcelebrate ng birthday at siya una ang magbirthday doon. Ise-segue na rin namin yung gender reveal with our families and friends,” the actress remarked.

Mark and Nicole also opened up about their views on family planning. The couple, now expecting their second child, expressed that two children are ideal for them.

“I just wanted to be Corky lang my only boy and this girl my only girl. Noong bata pa ako, I wanted this duo, big brother and little sister. Tapos na kami guys. Quota na kami pero ayaw ko magsabi ng tapos,” Nicole shared.

Mark added, “Mahirap din na magkaroon ng anak. Kailangan mo pag-aralin at magastos. Masaya pero mahirap pero ayon nga, it’s family planning.”

Nicole elaborated, “As responsible parents na gusto namin ni Mark, we have to look kung ano ang kaya namin emotionally, psychologically, and financially. We have big plans kasi for our kids. I want them to go to a very good school and to give the best future as much as possible.”

“I feel like 2 (kids) is the perfect balance when it comes to attention lalo na magkaibang gender sila.”

Aside from the house blessing, the couple also celebrated a late Valentine’s date. Nicole shared that they avoid celebrating on February 14 due to crowds and traffic.

“Kami ni Mark, we are the type of couple who doesn't like to celebrate sa mismong Valentine's Day parang nakakabadtrip lang na sobrang daming tao, matraffic, mas masarap sa bahay na lang and will celebrate the other day. Mahirap na makisabay,” Nicole admitted.

This tradition has become a habit for them over the years, making their celebrations more relaxed and enjoyable.
