Actor-dancer Mark Herras and his wife, actress Nicole Donesa, sparked speculation on social media after netizens noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. As of February 7, the two were no longer included in each other’s following lists, prompting questions online about the status of their relationship.
This comes shortly after Mark drew concern from fans and fellow celebrities when he posted a video compilation on February 5 showing him crying and smoking. The post was set to Shanti Dope’s song “Kamusta,” which touches on personal struggles and the importance of checking in on one another. In the clips, Mark was seen smoking, visibly shaking as he broke down in tears.
Mark captioned the video with the words “Kulong sa Sistema 👽,” but did not elaborate on its meaning. Following the post, friends from the entertainment industry and fans flooded the comments section with messages of support and concern. Around the same time, Mark also appeared to have limited the comments section on his personal account.
Despite unfollowing each other, both Mark’s and Nicole’s Instagram accounts continue to feature photos of one another and their family. Their respective accounts also still carry Instagram story highlights showing moments they shared together as a couple.
Mark and Nicole welcomed their first child, Corky, in February 2021. They tied the knot in a civil ceremony in September of the same year. By March 2025, the family officially settled into their newly renovated home in Quezon City, which they named Casa Corky.
In a YouTube vlog at the time, the couple documented their move and shared intimate moments from their first days in the house, including their first dinner together as a family.
“Truly one of the most important parts of our day as a family: eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner together. We didn’t realize it here but now that we’re watching this all over again, this moment was actually the first dinnertime we had at Casa Corky,” they shared in the caption.
“We can’t wait to make more memories and reconnect with one another in every breakfast, lunch ,and dinner at Casa Corky,” they added.
By June, Mark and Nicole welcomed their second child, Mija. Just last December, Nicole shared a family photo to greet everyone a Merry Christmas.
In another post, she uploaded a video of their family during a Christmas pictorial, wearing matching outfits, describing it as a “Wish List” that came true as they celebrated their first Christmas together as a family of four.
During the New Year, Nicole also shared a compilation of family photos, featuring moments with Mark in his mancave and scenes of him being hands-on and affectionate with their children.
As of this writing, both Mark and Nicole have yet to address the speculations surrounding their recent social media activity.
