MANILA -- Photos of Mark Herras and businessman-singer Jojo Mendrez made rounds online the past weeks. One of the most recent sightings of the two was when they were spotted in a hotel in Parañaque City.
During the press conference for Mendrez's signing with Star Music, he was asked about these sightings and malicious rumors linking him to the actor.
"No comment. Pasensya na. 'Yan nga 'yung pinagdadaanan ko ngayon eh. 'Yung video na lumabas na 'yan, napaka-malicious. Kaya nga sabi ng management huwag ko na sagutin, kasi kahit sabihin ko na hindi, sasabihin ng tao ay oo. Kung sasabihin ko naman ay oo, sasabihin naman ng tao ay hindi. So saan ako lalagay?"
He added, "Kasi nga ang tao madaling mag-judge kung ano ang nakita nila 'yun na 'yun. I cannot explain to everyone na ito 'yung totoo. Siguro kung makita niyo siya (Herras), pwede niyo siyang tanungin."
Mendrez said that the issue has been affecting his family and inner circle, especially with all the criticism he's been receiving online.
He also clarified that Herras is not part and did not have a cameo appearance on his music video for his single 'Somewhere in My Past'.
After the press con, Mendrez sang his latest track and to the surprise of everyone in the event, Herras dashed towards Mendrez, and gave him a beso on the cheeks and a bouquet of flowers.
Stunned and startled, the press sought for Mendrez's reaction right after but the hosts said the singer had to excuse himself for not feeling well.
