In recent days, StarStruck Season 1 alum Alvin Aragon has faced backlash over his remarks addressing issues involving his wife, Izzy Trazona, including renewed discussions about her departure from the SexBomb Girls and his statements regarding their family. As conversations intensified online, netizens drew attention to a February 2025 TikTok video of the couple that has since resurfaced on social media.
The old video showed the couple celebrating their anniversary while reminiscing about the defining moments of their relationship through the years. Among the memories they revisited was the height of the 2020 pandemic, when Izzy contracted COVID-19. She was also pregnant with their third daughter at the time.
The couple shares three children — Yana, Zoe, and Shekhinah.

Alvin recalled that when Izzy showed him her positive pregnancy test, he initially questioned whether he was the father of the child she was carrying, noting that Izzy had been staying in hotels for work-related commitments. In the video, Alvin shared his past reaction.
“Pinakita niya sa akin ang pregnancy test niya, positive siya. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi akin ’yan,’” Alvin recalled.
“Nagho-hotel ’to eh, nagpo-promote siya ng Netflix nung time na ’yun sa [ABS-CBN]. Malay ko kung anong nangyari, siya lang mag-isa dun, hindi ako kasama,” he added.
He shared that in the middle of his doubts, he turned to his faith, saying he sought clarity through devotion. According to him, he believed that if Izzy had done anything wrong, her guilt would have shown.
“Until ni-reveal ng Lord through my devotion. Kung yan si Izzy, may kasalanan, guilty ang itsura niya,” he continued.
Izzy, for her part, appeared calm in the video as she reflected on that time, saying she chose to give him space while he processed his emotions. “Pinabayaan ko lang siya. Bahala ka,” Izzy maintained.
Alvin said his doubts were eventually laid to rest when their child was born, and he saw a resemblance.
“Paglabas ng baby, kamukha ko.”
The resurfaced clip has since sparked renewed discussion online, particularly as the couple continues to face public scrutiny over various issues.
Recently, Alvin made headlines after addressing claims from netizens that he was the reason Izzy left the SexBomb Girls and did not take part in the group’s reunion concerts. He firmly denied having any control over that chapter of her life.
In an interview with DZAR radio on February 13, he pointed out that Izzy’s resignation from the group happened before their marriage in 2012. According to him, Izzy stepped away in 2009 after embracing Christianity, believing she was being called to a different path.
“Sinasabi nila, ‘Kaya pala wala sa SexBomb si Izzy dahil sa lalaking ’yan, eh.’ Teka lang, ha. Matagal nang wala si Izzy sa SexBomb, 2009 pa lang. Hindi pa nga ako ’yung asawa eh,” he said. “Sino ang nagpa-resign [kay Izzy] sa SexBomb? Ang Panginoon noong naging Christian si Izzy. Pinag-resign ng Lord.”
“Sabi ni Lord kay Izzy, ‘Come, follow me. I will make you fishers of men.’ Nag-obey si Izzy dun. Kausap niya si Joy Cancio, sabi niya, ‘Ate Joy, magreresign na po ako sa SexBomb,” he recounted.
At the same time, Alvin also faced criticism after responding to backlash directed at Izzy, particularly accusations that she failed to accept her child Sofia’s identity as a trans woman. Sofia is the firstborn of Izzy with her previous partner, Michael Navarro.

Addressing the issue, Alvin cited biblical teachings in explaining his position.
“Eh, totoo naman, e. Ano bang sabi sa Bible? God judged homosexuality,” he maintained.
“Ngayon, ang mabuting magulang, sasabihin mo sa anak mo kung ano yung huwag mong gawin, di ba? Kasi mapapahamak ka diyan pag ginawa mo.”
“God will throw you to hell if you continue to do homosexuality,” Alvin emphasized.
Amid the criticisms, Alvin said he remains willing to be the one at the center of scrutiny if it would ease the burden on his wife. He also shared that he had considered taking legal action against bashers, though Izzy opposed the idea.
