Actress and dancer Sunshine Garcia expressed her gratitude towards her husband, actor turned politician, Alex Castro, for being supportive of her career. In a Facebook post, the SexBomb Girls member shared a glimpse of the date night they had just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Sunshine and Alex tied the knot back in back in 2019 at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros.
“My date last night❤️ Nagkaroon din tayo ng quality time❤️ Hindi mo nakakalimutan talagang maging sweet, girl na girl ako haha,” Sunshine wrote.
In her post, the two enjoyed their quality time together and Alex gave her a bouquet of flowers to which she was all smiles about. She then expressed how grateful she is for her husband who has been supportive of her career and for being understanding of her busy schedule.
Sunshine, alongside the SexBomb Girls, just held five successful days of their reunion concert–– with another date being added due to the demand.
“And thank you lagi sa SUPPORT, hinahayaan mo akong mag GROW at gawin yung mga bagay na nakakapagpasaya sa akin thank you sa pag intindi,” she expressed.
“I love you,” she ended.
Fans of the couple sent their love and heartwarming messages in the comment section of her post. Other netizens can’t help but notice how she emphasized and capitalized the words ‘SUPPORT’ and ‘GROW’ as well.
“Yes! Because a godly husband is not threatened by his wife’s growth or happiness. Instead, he rejoices in it, supports it, and protects it because love ‘does not seek its own’,” a fan wrote.

The netizens’ comments come after the husband of former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona, Alvin Aragon, questioned why Alex allowed his wife to do the reunion concert. The former SexBomb Girls member didn’t participate in the reunion concert but made a surprise appearance at one of the shows.
“Sinasabi nila buti pa yung asawa ni Sunshine, Vice Governor, pinayagan sila mag concert. Dapat nga hindi eh. Dapat nga yung asawa mo, ingatan mo. Hindi mo hahayaan magsuot ng mga damit na para pagnasaan ng mga lalaki,” Alvin previously said in an interview.
While this may not be the official response of Sunshine to the opinion made by Alvin, netizens couldn’t help but comment on the differences between the two couples and be impressed with how supportive Alex is of Sunshine’s career.
