Dubbed as the Philippines’ Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino has uttered several iconic lines across her television shows, films, and interviews. One of which is the decade-old conversation between her and Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu wherein the latter cried on the former’s show, Kris TV.
Kim was emotional in the interview because of how fans supported her during the time she was being bashed. While she couldn’t form the sentences due to her emotional state at the time the interview was conducted, Kris herself explained the reason behind the actress’s emotions.
“Sinabi ko rin 'to sa presscon, wala naman ako ngayon dito kung nasaan ako kung hindi dahil sa mga tao na sumuporta sa akin ng buong-buo,” Kim previously shared with Kris.
Both Kim and Kris have remained good friends and have been part of each other’s lives since then. They previously worked together on the 2015 Star Cinema film, Etiquette for Mistresses, where the two played Ina del Prado and Georgia Torres, respectively.
What was supposed to be a quick portion of the interview would quickly translate to an iconic meme made by the netizens. Ever since the interview aired more than a decade ago, several netizens would continue to use it as a reference on social media.
This iconic line of Kris is one of the reasons netizens miss seeing her on mainstream media as well. The celebrity royalty has been on an indefinite hiatus in the showbiz industry as she is getting treated for her several autoimmune diseases.
Recently, the Queen of All Media shared some updates about the condition of her health. She had a successful surgery earlier this week and has expressed her gratitude towards the people who have been praying for her continuous health improvement.
“Headed down. Marami na kaming pinagdaanan. In 5 days, we would have been back a year. I wish you could hear how quiet the hallways are. Thank you for praying, isa pang TEST OF TAPANG,” Kris previously shared.
Despite her health condition and hiatus from the showbiz industry, Kris remains relevant to many Filipinos.
