Rica Paralejo attended the memorial service for the late Rodwick “Red” Sternberg alongside her co-stars in the '90s youth-oriented show T.G.I.S.
Although it was not the kind of reunion that they all hoped for, Rica was still grateful that they gathered to commemorate the life of the late actor.
“I never thought we’d meet again this way. Naka-side eye ka pa while I am talking about you, which is so you. Pero Kiko talagang hinintay ko lumabas ka sa likod nyan so you can tell us all 'Surprise! It’s a prank!' But you didn’t,” Rica addressed Red in a heartfelt Instagram post.
The 44-year-old could only wish she had the chance to get know the other side of Red, who chose to leave show business and pursued a private life with his family in the United States.
“I am sad cause it would have been nice to know you all over again but this time as the husband and dad that your family has been talking about and missing a lot,” she expressed.
Still, Rica was happy to finally meet Red’s wife, Sandy, and their kids who brought home his ashes two months after he died.
“You have such beautiful and wonderful girls, from Sandy to your daughters. And I got to talk to your boy about Roblox! Ikaw nalang talaga ang kulang,” she said.

In the comment section of her Instagram post, she extended her gratitude to the family for graciously granting their wish.
“Thank you @sandysternberg @raesee.sternberg (Rysn — cannot tag u) and Rykr, for honoring our wishes to be reunited with our friend even if this way. Thank you for this grace,” she expressed.
Although sad about Red’s sudden passing, Rica chose to be grateful for the love Red that they became part of each other's lives.

“But we will never understand some things in life, we can only heal from them. Nevertheless, like what I was saying in the memorial, I am grateful that we got to love you and you got to love us in this lifetime,” she said.
Red passed away last May 27, three days before what was supposed to be his 51st birthday.
