“I just want to know that your dad loved you more than the promise of renewed fame, the promise of being reunited with us, because your dad truly loved his family. He truly loved you guys, nothing was more important to him,” he told Red’s kids.
Angelu, on the other hand, described Red as the “best guy friend you could ever have“.
“He will be there for you. He will protect you. He’ll tell you straight up what’s wrong with you. He will be the one to stand up for you,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ciara offered Red a heartfelt performance of the song “Umagang Kay Ganda”.
Prior to the memorial service, Bobby, Michael, Angelu and Mark stood as godparents during the christening of Red’s youngest son, Rykr Rouge.
“Welcome to the Christian world Rykr Rogue! @iambobbyandrews @michaeljohnflores @angeludeleonrivera and I proudly became godparents to @redsternberg and @sandysternberg ‘s son this morning,” Mark wrote in the caption of his post.
Red passed away last May 27, three days before what was supposed to be his 51st birthday.
