Actress-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto shared a glimpse of an event she hosted in celebration of the life of her late husband, Trevor Magallanes.
“Inihanda namin ang hall at courtyard para sa celebration of life. Maraming family, friends at workmates ang dumating para magbigay-pugay sa kanya,” Rufa Mae shared in an Instagram post.
In honor of Trevor’s passion for gaming, they also reserved a playroom for the kids who attended the event.
The 47-year-old expressed her gratitude to her friends who helped her in organizing the meaningful gathering, noting that they even flew in from different parts of United States.
“Napakarami pang nagmamahal sa akin,” she shared in her post’s caption.
Rufa Mae vowed to continue giving her followers updates, saying: “We will keep you posted sa mga ganap namin dito.”
She once again appealed to the public to continue praying for her departed husband: “Please patuloy [niyong] ipagdasal ang kapayapaan ni Trev.”
The actress-comedienne's post was flooded with heartfelt and consoling messages from her supporters and celebrity friends.
“This is good. Celebrating the life of a good man is the best way to honor your husband @rufamaequinto,” said her fellow comedienne, Giselle Sanchez.
“Praying for God’s love and comfort to embrace you, Athena and the whole family,” one netizen wrote.
Prior to this, Rufa Mae shared a throwback photo of their small family which was accompanied by a heartfelt promise that touched the hearts of netizens.
“I promise to take care of our daughter; we can’t stop thinking of you. Mahal ka namin, Officer Magallanes,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

In another post, the celebrity mom also thanked her husband’s colleagues at the San Francisco Police Department for their tribute.

Rufa Mae has been consistently appealing to the public, especially netizens, to refrain from speculating and spreading unverified information about her husband’s death.
On July 31, a relative confirmed to ABS-CBN News the passing of Trevor, which was followed shortly by a statement from Rufa Mae herself, appealing to the public to “give them time to mourn.”

In 2016, Rufa Mae and Trevor tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Quezon City.
Eight years later, Trevor revealed that they were in the process of divorce, but Rufa Mae clarified the following year that no paperwork had been filed.
