Actress Rufa Mae Quinto took to social media to express her gratitude to those who offered condolences following the passing of her husband, Trevor Magallanes.

In her recent post, Rufa Mae thanked Trevor’s former colleagues at the San Francisco Police Department for honoring his memory.

“Thank you @sfpdofficial, for this honor. We love you officer Trevor Magallanes,” Rufa Mae wrote alongside photos of Trevor during his time with the department.

She also shared a letter from San Francisco Police Department Interim Chief Paul Yep addressed to the department’s members, confirming Trevor’s passing.

“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of former San Francisco Police Officer Trevor Magallanes,” the letter began

As per the police department, Trevor was part of the force from September 2018 where he served in various communities until he concluded his service in February 2023.

“Trevor joined the San Francisco Police Department on September 24, 2018, as a member of the 263rd Recruit Academy Class. During his time with the Department, he served the communities of the Mission, Tenderloin, Central, and Taraval Districts with dedication and commitment. Trevor concluded his service with the Department in February 2023,” they added.

He then extended their sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones.

“He is survived by his beloved daughter, Athena, who was the light of his life. We extend our deepest condolences to Trevor’s family, friends, and former colleagues during this difficult time,” they said.

Family friends also expressed their condolences to Rufa Mae and Trevors’s family in the comment section.

“Trevor….. Me and Luis still can't believe until now… may you rest in Peace Trev. We will keep the good memories we shared forever. Rest in Peace… until we meet again my friend. 😥,” former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Jerome Alacre commented.

A family friend also said, “I’ll miss our chats and all your lunch/foodie stories. Rest well, Trevor. Thank you for your service. Love to you, Ms. @rufamaequinto and dear Athena. 🙏”

On July 31, a relative confirmed the sudden passing of Trevor. Shortly after, Rufa Mae issued a statement asking the public for understanding and privacy during their time of mourning.

"I'm deeply saddened by this development. Hope [you] give us time to mourn his [loss] especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get [through] this by the help of God!" Rufa Mae said.

She also urged people to stop spreading misinformation regarding the cause of Trevor’s death.

"We are still gathering factual information about his death. Even us or his immediate family are still verifying what happened. So we kindly ask his friends or anyone to stop spreading fake news or mere speculations about his death," she added.

Rufa Mae and Trevor were married in 2016 in an intimate ceremony in Quezon City. In 2024, Trevor shared through an Instagram Story that they were in the process of getting a divorce.

However, in a January interview with Boy Abunda, Rufa Mae clarified that although her husband had expressed intentions to separate, no formal paperwork had been filed. She also pointed out that since their wedding took place in the Philippines, where divorce is not legal, they remained married at the time of his passing.
