Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023 Best Actor Cedrick Juan took to social media to share the news of his engagement to actress Kate Alejandrino.
On his Instagram page, Cedrick posted a series of heartfelt photos with Kate, accompanied by a poetic caption expressing his love and commitment to her.
“Isang pangarap… Pangarap na nagsimula sa pagpapanumbalik ng iyong tunay na ngiti na naguugat sa kaluluwa, isip, puso at mga mata,” Cedrick wrote.
The actor went on to emphasize his dedication to making Kate happy and ensuring she feels the love she truly deserves.
“Ito ang layunin ko simula noong unang araw na tayo’y nagsimula. Trabaho ko ang mahalin, pagsilbihan, makinig at pasayahin ka dahil nararapat ito para sa'yo,” he added.
He then expressed, “Ang maging sigurado at tiyak sa bawat hakbang araw-araw na magkasama.”
Looking forward to their life together, Cedrick ended his message with, “Tara mangarap tayo bawat sandali simula sa araw na ito.”
“Mahal, Mahal na mahal kita at pipiliin ka araw-araw Kaitin,” he remarked.
The engagement took place on Tuesday, February 18, as indicated by Cedrick in a hashtag included in his post.
Friends from the theater and entertainment industry sent the couple congratulatory messages and well wishes.
“I love you both so much. Stop being so perfect,” A Very Good Girl star Dolly de Leon commented.
Cedrick replied,”@dollyedeleon we both love you!! Takits sooonnn!!!”
Singer-songwriter Miss Ramonne also said, “Sabi ko noon, 'paki-ingatan'. Tinodo mo, Señor Juan! Saludo, hanggang dulo!”
On New Year's Day, Cedrick publicly introduced Kate as his girlfriend, expressing gratitude for her presence in his life through a touching message
“Bago matapos ang unang araw ng taon na ito, gusto ko lang magpasalamat sayo. Sa mga bagay na itinuturo mo sa akin araw-araw, kung paano maging sigurado sa bawat desisyon na kailangan gawin sa buhay,” Cedrick said.
He went on: “Dahil ang desisyon na sigurado, sadya at pinagisipan ay magdudulot ng mas malinaw na resulta na siyang makakatulong sa mas matibay na kinabukasan.”
He continued by emphasizing the importance of well-thought-out decisions and how they contribute to a stronger future. Cedrick also thanked Kate for the love and support she has given him.
“Maraming salamat sa klase ng pagmamahal na binibigay mo. Bago ito sa akin, Pero sapat ang rason ng bawat argumento, tamang pakikinig at gawa para yakapin ang pagbabagong idinudulot nito sa araw-araw nating pinagsasamahan,” Cedrick expressed.”
He ended his message with a wish for a deeper bond and unwavering trust between them.
“Hiling ko ang mas malalim pa na pagkilala, tiwala at pagpili sa isa’t-isa araw-araw. Salamat aking katuwang sa buhay. Mahal na mahal kita Kaitin. 😘,” he continued.
Cedrick Juan gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Padre Jose Burgos in the MMFF 2023 entry GomBurZa, a role that earned him the Best Actor award.

Aside from film, he is also an esteemed theater actor, having performed in productions such as Mula sa Buwan, Bilanggo ng Pag-ibig, Adarna, Teatro Porvenir, and Measure for Measure, among others.
Meanwhile, Kate is also a theater, movie, and television actress. She is known for her roles in Cinemalaya’s Bula sa Langit, and CineFilipino’s Mga Mister ni Rosario. She was also part of Pira-pirasong Paraiso and film Mujigae with Kapamilya star Alexa Ilacad.
In March 2025, she is set to take the stage for Jun Robles Lana’s Anino sa Likod ng Buwan at the PETA Theater Center.
