Kathryn Bernardo’s mother, Min Bernardo, slammed the netizens who have been using her daughter’s name on social media to spread misinformation. The celebrity mother expressed on her Instagram account the frustration she has over the fake quotes about her daughter.
Kathryn is the latest celebrity victim of fake news on social media.

“Please stop using my daughter’s name or image on your platform, especially if the stories you share are not true/splice. Ang isang kwento pag dinagdagan o binawasan ng kahit isang salita, naiiba ang kahulugan, at nagiging FAKE NEWS,” she wrote.
Min attached several screenshots as examples of how the Kapamilya actress’s name is being used as propaganda. She called them out on her account as she maintained how “unfair” it is that her daughter’s name is being used for the views of the social media pages.
“Don’t twist the story, para lang dumami ang viewers nyo. It’s UNFAIR 😤🥹 we’ve endured in silence for so long because of dagdag bawas at pag TWIST ng kwento but silence means we agree with what is being said,” she added.
She then shared how there’s a “limit” in what they can bear especially for her as a mother of the Asia’s Superstar.
“Remember, as a mother, there’s a LIMIT😤 to how much pain and silence one can bear,” she ended.

Fans of the Kapamilya actress showed their support in the comment section of Min’s post. Other netizens advised the celebrity mother to take legal action in order for the fake news to stop spreading.
Meanwhile, Kathryn’s talent management, Star Magic, has also released an official statement to protect their artist.
“Star Magic would like to inform the public that our artist Kathryn Bernardo did not make the remark that is circulating on social media. We ask everyone not to share the fake post and verify information before sharing,” the official statement wrote.
