Min Bernardo is one proud mom after it was announced that her daughter Kathryn Bernardo is set to be immortalized in a wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
"My heart is bursting with pride and joy! Seeing my daughter chosen to have her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds feels so surreal," she said in an Instagram post.
Min expressed her joy to see her daughter's dreams come true. "As a mom, nothing compares to witnessing her dreams turn into reality — the long days, quiet prayers, and all the hard work leading to this beautiful moment," she stated.
She added: "I’m beyond grateful and proud of the woman she’s become — humble, passionate, and full of heart."
Min remarked that she will always be Kathryn's biggest fan. "Congratulations, my anak, you truly deserve this honor. Mama will always be your number one fan," she said.
According to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, the box office star had her measurements taken for her wax figure last August. It will be unveiled in 2026.
Kathryn will join the roster of Filipinos previously honored with wax figures: Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Broadway icon Lea Salonga, and actress Anne Curtis.
"It's a dream come true to have my own wax figure, and I’m grateful to the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong team for their trust in me. I'm excited for my fans worldwide to visit and interact with my twin," Kathryn remarked in a press release by the wax museum. "It's such a meaningful milestone for me."
In a reel shared by Star Magic, Kathryn also expressed how honored she feels to have her own wax figure.
"It's truly an honor and I'm just very, very grateful... And nakakatuwa kasi parang it's going to bring pride again sa ating mga Filipino, to bring our Filipino flag doon sa Madame Tussauds na attraction," she stated.
She went on: "Siguro kapag makita ko na 'yung wax figure in person, doon pa lang siya magsi-sink in sa akin. Na, 'wow! I have a wax figure."
