Actress and singer KC Concepcion said she is filled with happiness and love as she shared updates about her life after a seven-year hiatus from the showbiz industry.
In an interview with Boy Abunda, KC revealed that her relationship with her mother, Sharon Cuneta, is now in a good place following rumors of tension between them.
“I’m really really happy. Masaya po ako. After a while, sobrang okay na kami ni mama and sobrang nagmamahal kaming pamilya. Iba talaga ang feeling kapag okay,” KC happily shared.
She recalled how she now enjoys spoiling her mom with thoughtful gifts and special moments, something she truly cherishes after their reconciliation.
KC recounted that their renewed closeness began during the holidays and blossomed after heartfelt conversations.
“Nasurprise ako, Tito Boy. Dumating si Mom (sa Amanpulo) and first time ko magkatabi si Mama after 100 million years. Talagang nagmamahalan po kami,” KC shared referring to the birthday celebration she had with Sharon.

“Nagstart po (kami mag-usap noong Christmas,” KC said. “Sobrang excited ko po. 4 hours or 5 hours po kami nag-usap. Lahat napagusapan namin and para kaming mag-best friends.”
KC described their past misunderstanding as a natural part of a parent-child relationship — something they were eventually able to resolve with love and open communication.
“Mas natural na po. Thank God. Kaya ko na po siya sabihan na ‘I need a girl talk. Call me,’” KC remarked.

Aside from her renewed bond with her mother, KC also opened up about her love life, expressing that she is finally ready to settle down with her “Mister Right” and “Mister The One.”
“I am ready to share my life with someone. I think I enjoyed my life so much that gusto ko ishare to someone na deserving dahil alam niya kung paano ako mahalin and natuto ako magmahal through the years. With every relationship na dumaan sa buhay ko, natuto talaga akong magtrust and magmamhal. Natuto ako ano yung weaknesses ko, saan ako nagkulang and saan ako pwede magimprove, kung ano yung mga takot ko dati,” KC shared.
She reflected on how past relationships have helped her grow emotionally, adding, “Kapag takot na takot ka parang ang dami mong guard and I think ganoon ako dati. Ngayon, mas bukas and mas nararamdaman ko po pagiging babae ko and mas nagiging soft ako habang inaaccept ko yung pagkukulang ko and aware ako.”

KC also shared the advice she received from her parents when it comes to love and marriage.
“Sabi niya (Sharon) sa akin, ‘Wag mo masyado isipin yung sasabihin ng mga tao.’ May mga dumadating sa buhay ko na talagang sasabihin niya sa akin, ‘When in doubt... Don’t,’” KC stated. “Ang payo naman po sa akin ni Papa kung magpapakasal po ako, maliit lang daw. Intimate lang daw. Huwag daw yung ginawa nila sobrang laki.”
Although she did not confirm her current relationship status amid rumors linking her once again to ex-boyfriend Aly Borromeo, KC described the qualities she looks for in a partner.
“Preferably someone po na nakilala ko na po, someone na maalaga and provider po and nararamdaman ko na lalaking lalaki siya and babaeng babae ako, and siyaka po yung naiintindihan po ako,” she said.
“Siguro po yung interest namin na maappreciate ko po yung pagkanta kasi yung family namin. It doesn't have to be in the industry naman po.”

KC ended the interview by expressing her faith in love and her belief that “the one” is already out there.
“Kapag mayroon na pong sure, ikukwento ko po iyon. Hindi ko po matatago iyon. I think he is just there. I think the love that I will end up with, that I will marry is just waiting there. Naniniwala ako na nandyan lang siya and one day nandito na rin siya sa tabi ko,” she said.
