Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File Pia Wurtzbach has added another feather to her cap as she was included in the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) awardees of 2024, which recognizes Filipinos who have excelled in their respective fields.
The former Miss Universe was cited for her humanitarian service and social work during the awarding ceremony held Sunday in Quezon City.
LoveYourself, an HIV advocacy group that has long been supported by Wurtzbach, congratulated the beauty queen on its social media pages.
"Your dedication to creating a better world continues to inspire countless individuals," it said.
Since winning the Miss Universe crown in 2015, Wurtzbach has been using her platform to promote various causes, ranging from HIV awareness to mental health.
She recently held an auction of her pageant memorabilia to help raise funds for LoveYourself's new youth center.

Aside from Wurtzbach, Jenica Beatriz Dizon-Mountford also received a TOYM award for humanitarian service and social work.
Other awardees for 2024 include Ziga Dulay for arts and culture (TV/Film); Venazir Martinez and Jose Gabriel Mejia for arts and culture; Billie Crystal Dumaliang for environmental leadership and community development; Roscinto Ian Lumbres for forestry, agriculture, and applied sciences; Pia Ranada for journalism and mass communication; Dennis Umali for veterinary medicine; and Brent Andrew Viray for rural medicine and surgery.
